Veteran's Day True Meaning.

The true meaning of Veterans Day is that it is a federal US holiday dedicated to honoring all of our military veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Observed on November 11 each year, marking the end of World War I, and serves as a day to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of each of our brave veterans.

Once upon a time, I spent many years as a military wife, but even before that, I had a patriotic Dad. Loving our troops, country and flag is rooted in me. I have always had this same heart and am also learning that my son, has the same. 🤍

A little thing about me, I have read the book, Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell several times. One of tbe best reads ever. There have been days in my life where I just don't think I can make it. I feel like caving, giving up, overwhelmed to no end. I mention this because in Marcus's book he IS the lone survivor of Operation Red Wing. He is very injured, starving, bleeding, broken bones, thirsty beyond imagination, exhausted beyond belief, lost, all while trying to navigate in steep Afghanistan mountains to survive. He slips, falls, and slides up and down this terrain, with his gun that had a broken strap. Yet all along everytime this happened, God made sure his gun went with him. His one survival tool. This is a Veteran and he is who I think of on HARD days. My hard days will never be anything near his. I haven't done Marcus the honor in this description. There were so many more details, but I wanted you to read a Veteran's mindset.

If you know a Veteran, take today to honor them and say thank you out loud. If you do not know a Veteran,  stop by one of these restaurants today, November 11, and shake hands and hug a them to say thank you.
