That's the definition of expectation.
No one is perfect, however when you are generally loving and joyful, you put your beliefs (or exoectations) in others that they are good, they will be loyal, anf they will be there no matter what, even when they are going through it! (Did you know that that's the best time to help someone is when you are at the bottom of your barrel?!)
The reality is, they aren't. No one has your heart or character. Only you.
Expectations on others have crushed me over the years. They have broke my heart.
So now, I have changed. Not to be mean or hateful, but strong and protective of who God created me to be.
If someone doesn't want to be a part of my circle, I don't care. I don't expect THEM to change, because I have. No expectations!
If someone only needs me sometimes, I don't care. I am a fruit-producing tree and surround myself with the same.
My energy matches what I receive. It's too late in my life to waste time on dead end "expectations" on others. I just don't want to anymore.
This isn't a hateful way to be. It's living my life to be with those i love and who love me and giving my all to my dig, Lucy! I want to produce kingdom activities for God. Because HE EXPECTS me to!
