Well, Lucy Lu is all better!🐾
It took a couple of weeks.
I discovered that Lucy had cleverly figured out how to open a drawer and took out some over-the-counter chewable tablets, in a box, inside pockets of plastic and ate 4 before I was able to stop her. It was literally 2 minutes it took her to break through all those barriers. They contained bismuth subsalicylate. I tell you this because this can be very deadly to dogs. Fortunately, Lucy only had 4.
Her doctor said no forced throw up. Too much going on in her tummy and bowels. Days of throwing up and diarrhea. She fasted for a day, had chicken and rice and pedialyte frozen pops. She slept a lot and had a low key couple of weeks.
I tell you, as you all know, boxers are so incredibly intelligent when it comes to figuring things out to open, find...they are nosey for a reason and they see everything. They are so observant. I have now fully child-proofed my house!
Lucy is my 5th boxer, but its been 10 years. I am starting over!

On all of Lucy's SM's had an outpouring of 100's of messages! It was all so thoughtful and sweet. We are tight-knit and love one anothers babies! I love this!
